28 front brake drum
I am looking for an early front brake drum for the wire wheel that is right hand thread, I just completed my early set of tall flat top lug nuts, and need a brake drum and also a lug wrench to fit it
Thanks
Thanks

But it has lug nuts and bearings. According to Epay prices my father and I have a small fortune of stuff accumulated.

Re: 28 front brake drum
I believe the one John is looking for is the pre recall drum, all four wheels used right hand threads, here are pics of the drum that used the smaller A bearing and spindles.

Re: 28 front brake drum
There is a '28 only ribbed drum that uses passenger spindles, kingpins, & bearings / There is also a '29 only smooth drum that uses it's own unique bearings & spindle, but also uses passenger kingpins / then in late '29 - early '30 the A-A/B-B spindle, bearing & kingpin seems to show-up & last through at least '34 - '35( this one seems to use the same large smooth brake drum on both front & rear)

Re: 28 front brake drum
i have a friend that has a lathe the he can put them in and turn them smooth. He did my rear drums and they turned out Great! i have 2 more rear drums that are early, i am going to use one and sell the other. When i find a new front drum i am going to have it turned along with the rear. When we turn them we take them down till their smooth and then a little more. It cost $20 per drum

Sure looks that way, a very helpful guy, if anyone needed some good fortune to come his way it would have to be him.Reds34 wrote:I bet that is Rowdy from FordBarn.

Hi, I'ts the Sandman from Canada. I have a pair of drums. I am going to Detroit this coming week if you are interested I can ship them to you from a bus station. I have to check it out tomorrow to see if they are both right hand threads. Am asking $ 75.00 each.
