Re: Early 30 AA Express For Sale
Chris,
Great to see the pictures of the express end of the truck. It looks like you have just about everything for the project. I didn't see the rear fender brackets or rear fender spacers. Maybe you have those items and just no photo. I think you said you had the spare wheel carrier?
Good luck on selling your project. It will be a great start for anyone wanting to do a restoration.

Hey Neil,
Yes, I have two stamped rear fender brackets, one original, one my father
Fabricated. Also have two original fender spacers and two my father fabricated.
And I have the correct, complete spare tire carrier. I just have it all packed away
In boxes in back of the truck. Chris

Re: Early 30 AA Express For Sale
Great Chris,
It looks like you basically have a complete restoration project.
I would suggest that you set a selling price. I generally would not offered a buy price to a seller without knowing his selling price first. This generally results in the seller being offended. Others may feel the same.
One option is to put your express on Ebay with a high reserve and a low starting bid (like $500) and then see what the bidding does. This would help establish what the market is.
The best of luck selling your express.

Re: Early 30 AA Express For Sale
Thanks for the ssuggestions. At this point I cannot be offended. I closed
My eBay account recently with the notice from PayPal about the hacking
Attempts. Again, I will not be offended at offers, I will either accept or decline.
Several posts back I set the price at $8000. With the extra wheels, all the new glass, complete
Interior, restored popout cable, restored outer door handles with correct finish, Warford, a clear title, and the relative scarcity of these trucks, I feel this is a fair price. Folks are welcome to come look it over, and if you live across the country and have a friend close by, I will welcome them to come put eyes on it for you. Chris

Re: Early 30 AA Express For Sale
Hi to all of you AA truck guys, this truck is worth more than the $8,000 that he is asking. I would buy it myself but I already have an express and 10 other model AAs/As. It is property tax time and Christmas is arriving so the season is not the correct season to sell a truck for what is it worth. All of the parts should have been unpacked and pictured months ago when he first put it up for sale, his error. Now, for whatever reason, he MUST sell it at a discounted price. Please do not condemn the condition or value of his truck! Just send him an offer. Steve.

Re: Early 30 AA Express For Sale
My suggestion is to raise the asking price to $15k and then let folks make offers - Just a thought.

Re: Early 30 AA Express For Sale
Wish it was closer Connecticut because it would have a home next to my other truck. Unless you would consider selling the express bed, rear fenders, and hardware separately.

Re: Early 30 AA Express For Sale
Truck is garaged 10 minutes from I-95 at exit 11 in Virginia.
Sorry, not willing to split the truck up and part it out.
