Re: Wayne School Bus
What kind of chassis did the bus body come off of? Apparently it was not that AA chassis.
Re: Wayne School Bus
I don't know. The bus is a Model A. There is a picture of it in Collector's Originality Guide Ford Model A. by Jim Schild.

Would be very neat to see back in its origonality. Were schoolbusses always yellow and black?

Re: Wayne School Bus
Without measuring the width of the outside edges of the fenders there is no way to know if it would accept dual rear tires. Then again the body is so small it would probably be fine with single rear wheels, maybe a '28 or '29 chassis? However, I was looking at the front of the body and I could not picture how that would be adapted to a AA chassis. There should be a tag somewhere by the body builder which may indicate the year it was built, either a date or serial number sequence. If there is a patent data plate, patents can also be dated.
I have seen completely restored AA buses sell for around $25k and I think that would be a better deal. Are there any seats in the bus? No interior photos. Sometimes the old buses had one seat down the length of each side.
