Re: Craigslist AA Doodlebug
Ummm....ok, I don't quite get the negativity.
Yes is is junk, unless of course you wanted a pair of the spoke rims, axle or AA trans or bellhousing. I would say it is worth the $300 in parts and he may take less. It's not worth the $100 in fuel and hours of driving it would take me to get it, when the only thing I need are the wheels/rims
It's not a restoration candidate, but I thought someone might want the parts.

Thank you for the post, I thought much the same that it has potential and out of respect for your obvious intention to be of service to this community, I would not choose those words...
Really, lets be respectful....

That would be on my trailer if it was within a reasonable travel distance. There is a fair amount of useable parts there.

Re: Craigslist AA Doodlebug
Flat top '28 AA lug nuts! Wow you have a good eye Reds. I would like the '28 wheels too, not just the rim part. I had a bunch of them like that once and when I put them up for sale at $100 ea. they quickly found a new home, and that was without the lock ring.
The whole set up is rather interesting with a mid '30 to mid '31 Model A mated with the AA tranny to rear end. Probably '29 AA parts looks like. Only 3000 miles away for me, guess I better hitch up my trailer!
It reminds me of a Model A tractor I had years ago. It had a car front end and AA rear end with a steel wheel kit welded to the AA brake drums. The 2 four speed trannies and the steel lugs on back gave it a lot of pulling power.
