Did I miss something?? I was one of the bidders on that express truck. I was high bidder at $2300.00. There was still one day and 13 hrs left in the auction. There was a reserve on the truck but NO buy it now. Then somehow 5 hours after I placed my bid, the reserve price was lowered and the truck is sold. What gives?? Was a buy it now added within that 5 hr time frame? It would have been nice to let the auction end on its own and give everyone a chance to bid that wanted to bid.

s147881,
I'm guessing your the purchaser of the truck. If so congratulations. Please post pick when you get it back to MI. Looks like a very nice start to a great project. Whenever I see an opportunity like this I try to contact the seller offline to work a deal; only I was too late on this one :).

Yes I was the winner. The seller did not see a quick build up on the bid and was willing to work with me on a price. They lowered the reserve to 2800 and I pushed my bid to the reserve and he ended the auction early with sale to highest bidder - which was me. This was all legal per EBay rules. I just finished a early 30 with a 88a flatbed and it came out beautiful. This early 30 express was my dream truck and my son who is 16 has been very involved with other truck. Best thing was that we were going to get a camero to restore and when I showed him the express he had to have it. I do have a freind that has a great set of rear fenders, fender brackets and several 1930 rims to put the in good original shape. Now I have to figure out how to get it home to Michigan.

Shipping by Montway out of Chicago for 949.00 Cash only on delivery. Should be picked up tomorrow from Vallejo. Will arrive in michigan next Tuesday or Wednesday. Weather looks good. I had seller drain radiator fluid and add 50/50 mix of antifreeze. I also had him drain and refill transmission oil to ensure no water was in the case. Report back was about a pint of water was in the case. My last truck with no roof had the same problem and case was cracked due to freezing. He got the breaks working and put a new battery in it to ensure it would start for the shipping company. I listed it as a running vehicle. Hope they know how to start a model A.

Cracked transmission, you don't want that junker. Luckily I'll take it off your hands LOL. But seriously it's great that the seller is willing to go the extra mile to make the preparations to it.
