Need emergency brake linings

Post by Newarkite »

I need a source for emergency brake linings. I made two separate orders to a supplier back east . I received ultra thick linings – well over 1/4 inch. I returned them and placed another order (their new catalog description specified 3/16 thickness) which was not true – again I got ultra thick linings.

Can anyone recommend a source for correct lining?

Thanks much.

Or check a local semi truck repair place. They still use brass riveted linings and my local one could get any thickness. They said if its too wide rivet the closest size you can get on then take a bandsaw using the metal as a guide to cut the excess off.

If my brain cells are working properly I remember a guy named Steve Salazar in So Cal that relined AA brakes.
