At http://aafords.com/open-bodies/platform ... etails/#ih there is a table showing the different 88-A hardware installation versions. You might want to review and then specify which style of frame spacers you want. Also note that 11-3/4" is a design 3 u-bolt and 9-1/2" is a design 1 or 2 u-bolt.

Re: Wanted 88A Platform u-bolts
Neil
After reviewing the installation tables I believe I have version 6 or 7. There are no bolt holes for wood spacers and no rivet holes for the rivet on spacers. So I think what I need are the frame spacer-sleeves. 2 of the AA516-C 5-9/16", 2 of the AA5117-C 4" and 2 of the AA5116-B 1-3/4". It also looks like according to the installation tables that version 6 and 7 use the AA8807 11-3/4" U-bolts. The truck I have is an Oct. 1928. Please correct me if I am wrong.
Thanks for trying to get me on the right path.

After reviewing the tables again and the U-bolts schematic, you are right. I need 2 of the 11-7/8" u-bolts instead of the 11-3/4" ones.
Thanks

An October 1928 AA which requires the sleeve style spacers as you indicate would use the design 2 u-bolts. The sleeve spacers are currently being reproduced (you might need to buy some spacers which are too long and then cut then to fit the frame. The design 2 u-bolts are hard-to-find because the inside leg is for the sleeve spacer while the outside leg is like the prior design 1 u-bolts and do not accept the sleeve spacers.
- AA-88048 d2 = 13-3/16"
AA-88057 d2 = 11-7/8"
AA-88050 d2 = 9-1/2"
Good luck finding your installation hardware.

Thanks again. I hope someone out there has the d2 u-bolts. If not I have a friend that is into forging, maybe he will be able to forge a set.
