Wanted 14" brake shoes
I need a pair of rear brake shoes for my '28 AA. These are shoes for the early model without the emergency brake. Condition of linings not important.

Re: Wanted 14" brake shoes
Could be that they are all the same. They have a surface area that measures approximately 18-1/2" x 2-1/2". I have seem some that look like heavier forgings and others that are stamped fro lighter material. Mine are the lighter ones.
I just need one shoe because the other three are in good condition. I am located in British Columbia, Canada. Postal code V0N 2W2. If packed in a small box an put in the regular mail the shipping should be affordable.

Re: Wanted 14" brake shoes
I will see what a got when i can and get some measurements and pics - i know i have an odd number of shoes as one i had was severely rusted/worn out so it was into the scrap pile. All of mine are late 28-29 worm drive shoes with emergency brakes but like mentioned above the shoes should be the same.

Re: Wanted 14" brake shoes
i got one - if you give me a day or two I can sandblast it and get you a pic if your interested. Checks very tight in the roller and wedge pin holes
i just measured, shoe width is 2 3/8" wide x 18 1/4" along the outside curve of the shoe (minus any form of liner) it appears to be a heavy forging as is all mine.

I would guess he would want one of the lighter stamped ones - do you or anyone have a pic? I'm curious as I'm not sure if I've ever seen an AA stamped shoe before.rustya1928 wrote: ↑January 23rd, 2018, 9:30 amHow many shoes do you need? I have plenty, located on west coast.
