This might be a better buy at https://www.facebook.com/groups/MARCFordGroup/

Swap the cab with the one you have maybe and resell.

If your not hung up on being 'original', have one built. My dad in law just put a flat top on cab. No one seems to notice. If you go to a body man they may be able to form something for you. just a thought...

Kim,

I found a vendor in CA that sells a drop in piece to make the cab a solid top. What did your father in law use to support it from inside? Did he use the wood ribs as if it were a canvas top?

I have a steel top that came off a chev. , I took it off a 30 Ford PU ,it fits over the top and down the back about 4 inches you would need to patch the sunvisor to the front

Nope. Simpler than that! A piece of 3/4" plywood. then wrapped it with the covering. He even put 'ribs' on the inside in the place of the original ribs. Most people are so busy looking at the inside, see the "ribs" and never notice it is all fake.

FYI. I have made all the pieces to replace the top and make it like original. BUT. what is there was made by him and he is gone so it is sort of 'in remembrance of him that we leave it as is. He lived to 92.
