Good point Chris, but steering columns, like engines, are easily swapped. I had a '28 AA with a '30-31 steering column.

There are other Early '30 things to look for. That is just one you can see from 3 feet away. Later Early '30's have a twist lock gas cap instead of a screw on. Of course the Big Brakes are something to look for. Two countersunk holes in the center of the door post is something else to look for. This for mounting the mirror. "28/'29 will have the body number stamped on the floor under the floorboard. Early '30 doesn't have this on all I have seen.

No I was mistaken on memory. I drive truck and only home weekly. Just looked at it this weekend and it is 6 hand holes. Everything else matches to a 1929. 3speed w/2 speed rearend.

So then it is a '29, and it may be the original engine, as June '29 would be shortly before the 4 speed trannies were introduced.

Its not a 2 speed rear end. It is a Direct/Underdrive behind the transmission.

Thanks everyone for all the assistance. From what I see from all the posts, I need to purchase AA-1118-AR R.H.
and AA-1119-AR L.H.. Now I just need to find them at a place that has them in stock. Again thank you

Kaboom, you could also purchase good used brake drums with good lugs on them. I'll bet someone in AA Forum has some. I might have some at my summer home, but I won't be there until next summer.
