WTB 31 Rim

Post by Alan S. - SC »

One of the new guys here. I just got the left overs of a 31 AA truck. It came with the rolling frame, axles, front fenders, headlights, steering column and 4 wheels.

Three of the 4 slotted wheels are 1931 rims and one is a 1930. I can't post a picture at the moment, but the 1930 rim doesn't have a lock ring. That rim has a raised center band. So I am thinking this 1930 rim is some sort of split rim?

I would like to find another 1931 rim with the raised center. Anyone have one I could blast and redo? I might consider any rim if the center is usable.

Hi. Let me get this right. Are you looking for wheels with or without the locking ring. I have many, some with new tires and tubes or otherwise. I need to know the number of slotted holes in them as well. I tried to post pictures before but wasn't successful. Thanks.

You can call me at 415 431-1472 for more info.

I need some 31 rims. Unfortunately all mine are shot, so like 7 of them. 5 whole with a locking ring is what used to be on it.

Have you checked that Red rim for a date/yom! It looks like the ones I changed in the 60s. It splits in the middle! Only one worst has a split crossways with solid ring.Bob E.

Alan, the wheel you show is not an AA wheel.

That looks like a widow maker probably from early 50's Ford, very dangerous no tire shop
will work on them.
