3 bolts and a large castle nut in middle hold to frame. photo not very good, sorry.

is this the same style or model that the fellow transformed into an express bed side spare holder. do you think this wold work as is on the side of an express bed? thank you in advance. kevin

I don't know the answer to your first question.

Regarding your second question - No, the carrier you show in the photos will not work on the right side. Refer to https://aafords.com/aa-chassis/aa-1400-carriers/ to make comparisons.

Yes - this is the one I started with to create the express side mount.
