Re: 29 wheel
HI:
I have one wheel left. It has been blasted and primed. It will require a little work to make it perfect. It has a couple of rust through spots. I saved this as I figures it would make a good spare. There is no lock ring. Price is $75.00 plus shipping. I am in No. Calif. and can ship this UPS.
Thanks Charlie

Re: 29 wheel
You could try Sam Guthrie in Chandler, AZ (email is SPG1931@aol.com; phone in 480-963-5047).
I have a 29 6 hole wheel to sell (but no split ring).

Re: 29 wheel
macswoods, The wheel is $90. Pictures at https://app.box.com/s/3dj1n2f1oahzpbxubbidiy7v2q1o5t0t. If that works for you, then I will determine the shipping cost (expensive). The last wheel I shipped was in 2019 and it was $73 + box for $10. It will be more now. I will need your zip. Send email to neil@aafords.com

Re: 29 wheel
I believe that a wheel can be shipped through USPS without a box. Just put a couple wraps of duct tape around the wheel same as where the wheel flaps would fit. Write the To and From addresses on the duct tape. Will save the boxing costs and the dimensions will be a bit smaller saving on postage.

I can't find Internet information regarding shipping a wheel without a box. Anyone know if this is a fact and what the packaging requirement is?

Re: 29 wheel
I received four 28 spoked AA wheels shipped this way back in 2011. I'm thinking that it should still be okay to do so. I did some reading and what I have found it that USPS is required to ship anything that meets size and weight restrictions regardless of packaging as long as an address and postage can be affixed.
The first part of the following link lists some of the things that can be shipped without packaging. FYI it is one of those web sites that you can scroll down pretty much forever so after item #16 it is no longer relevant.

Re: 29 wheel
I shipped a spare tire carrier , and UPS would not box it, but they just tagged it and shipped it.
