I don't know why you would destroy that survivor.

Re: good running Model A engine $250
It is already 'destroyed'.... as you put it.... it has a 1949 jeep T-90 transmission (synchromesh) and power hydraulic brakes, Dana axles and transfer case... with 4:88 gear ratio and is a good functioning 4X4 ....... already ruined in your humble opinion.. I bought it to be Used on our remote ranch... a working farm truck... our driveway is 18 miles of dirt & mud road... I love the vintage trucks... but also need it to be 4X4... so I found this already 'destroyed, working truck... but the model A engine doesn't have enough pulling power to climb our steep mountain roads with a load... Now it has 6 gears forward.... I need a little more umph.... in the engine. Not everyone buys these to preserve them in there original condition.. then rarely actually use them... work them.... I was soo happy to find one that looks pretty original but is converted to 4x4, great brakes, synchromesh.... I couldn't have asked for any thing better suited for our practical needs..... Destroyed for sure, if you are a preservationist ......
ANYONE want to preserve a nice original Model A engine... for a very reasonable price..????

Simply putting a high compression head on it would give it more umph.
