AA Rolling Chassis For Sale

Post by Joe in NH »

SOLD!

AA Truck Rolling Chassis. 131-1/2” wheelbase. Dec. 1930 Serial No. 4179655 4 speed, 7/36 Rear End (high speed) with tag. Set up for double rear wheels but “outers” no rubber.

Body/fenders/bed removed by a former owner to make small pickup. Truck ran well before year 2000 dissolution. Condition today barn fresh. 26K original miles at last formal sale (1992 papers). All the little springs and nuts & bolts are there. Some original paint too.

This AA truck originally carried a construction welder rarely used, hence the low mileage

Engine included. Number matches frame. Ran when the body was present. Probably has never been opened for tightening.

Spare Front & Rear Axles of unknown condition included. No steering box but drag link is there.

Was going to create a Big Iron truck from parts but it’s been 8 years and no progress so it’s time to clean out the barn.

Price $1250. If you’re going for a high point restoration, this is where you start.

Chassis is located in Stratham, NH. I can be reached first at jwkeith@netzero.net

The 5:14 was the high speed rear end, not the 7:36

Axle is the high speed with a tag "7 36" which if you do the math 36 divided by 7 yield a rear axle ratio of 5.14 to 1.

Gosh even the repop tags now are $22 a copy from Mike's. This is no repop - it reads "backwards" as applied.

My Early '30 axle has a tag with nothing stamped into it. A plain flat tag. But it is the high speed 5:14 gearing.

Well I wanted to upload pix to the file but I must have a MONDO sized camera file. File too large I guess.

So I'll just give a Snapfish pix hosting web address. I'm not real pleased with Snapfish since you have to "sign in" but it's the best I can do - and it's free!

Well, the offshore buyers (read spammers) have already surfaced. Not mentioned previously but let it be added that this chassis is not offered to offshore buyers. I prefer to sell only to bona-fide Americans.

Ditto the onshore spammers. $3000 has already been made out in my name! HA!

Too bad the Internet has been contaminated with this sort of skulduggery, but I guess that is the price you pay for such wide exposure.

I didn't fall out of the turnip truck yesterday (maybe the day before.)

Best regards,

I just SOLD my chassis to a good home.

Check is cleared and buyer will pick up Chassis in the Fall as the leaves turn.

The Board WORKS. Just be sure to use an Email address you don't mind being spammed at.

Thanks everyone for your inquiries and interest. Maybe my departure from your clan is only temporary.

Best regards,
Joe in NH
