Two AA trucks for sale in the Brawley Calif. area

Post by D2G2 »

A friend of mine in the Brawley California area is scrapping out a bunch of old stuff that has pilled up at the family farm over the years, amongst all the tractors and what not there are two AA trucks and a 1935 dodge flatbed. The AA's look like part machines to me, but the Dodge might a good candidate for restoration, engine and running gear are intact. I don't know what he wants for them, but I don't think it's much, his name is Joe and his number is (760) 996-6041, if you would like more pictures email me at ggroh@sbcglobal.net.

I talked to Joe yesterday about parting the trucks out, he said he'd consider selling and shipping parts if there's enough demand to justify it, I thought someone might be interested in the flatbed on the 29 that say's "Ford Truck" (nice condition) so I attached some more pictures. Glenn

Hello Glenn,
I would be interested in the right rear fender, if he decides to part them out. Thanks for the pictures.

I would be interested in the flat bed on either truck. I have a 1930 131" wb with the same rear end as pictured on the truck without the "Ford" script. Do you know what he wants for any or all of the misc. pieces? I live in CA and could pick up the parts. Thanks for the great find. Is there a 4 speed transmission in either truck?

Thanks for the interest guys, the best thing to do is call Joe at (760) 996-6041, I am just a friend helping with the computer end of things, I am also traveling to Portland OR to kickoff a new work project so I am going to be super busy for the next four weeks. Glenn

The platform with "Ford Truck" on the rear crossmember was used until about mid 1928. These platforms had three external rear pockets. When the platform was changed to have four external rear pockets, the "Ford Truck" was eliminated (mid 1928). Both styles are the 88-A platform used through February 1931.

A friend in Brawley called this morning and asked me to refresh this post, the land is closing escrow and the scrappers are comming back in this week to clean it to dirt, if you have any interest give Joe a call (760) 996-6041 before they head to China in pieces.

Thanks, Glenn
