1930 AA for sale

Post by model a dave »

For sale a 1930 square cab AA express bed truck. This truck was stored in a shed for a long time, until now. The tires and top are shot, and it needs a top wood kit, no rust in the doors, still has all the windows. The cab needs a new panel above the windshield. Engine runs, clutch works, brakes don't The truck has an interesting history. No rear fenders or tailgate. Located in central Nebraska. $3500.00 OBO My phone # is (308) 233-5960 Thanks

Hi Dave,

Is this truck a short or long wheel base? I'm thinking, but not absolutely sure, that the express bed was only on long beds.

Thanks,
Ray

Ray,
Your thinking is incorrect. The long bed didn't appear until mid 1930. The Express Body has been with us since the Model T era.

I am sorry, but I don't know much about the AA trucks. I mostly mess with Model A cars. I measured from the front axle to the rear and it was about 131 inches. I hope this helps.

If you are interested in it, drive over and take a look at it. It was bought on ebay and I decided that I don't want it now. It was owned by a Ford dealer in Milligan, NE and it has painting on the doors advertising the V8 that came out in 32. It had a wrecker boom in the back, but it is long gone.

There was an 89-A express body for '28 through '30. There was a 195-A express for the AA131 and a 197-A express for the AA157 in 1931. There was a 242-A express for the AA131 in 1931.

Dave's express has a 89-A body.

I really want to find this truck a new home, so I have lowered the price to $2500 cash. If nobody wants it for this I just might part it out, or park it in the shed and forget about it. If anyone is interested, give me a call. (308) 233-5960 or (308) 293-5764 Cell
Thanks

Dave:

Any chance of getting you to post a few photos of the truck? Posting photos might give you a better chance of selling the old girl too. Do you have the ownership title?

Yes I do have the title for the truck, and I can email photos to whoever wants them.

Dave
I would like to see the pics also.
I kind of remember it from e-bay but don't remember any details of it other than the V/8 painted on the doors.
