Maiden voyage

Post by bdotson »

Took my 28 aa out for a drive today for the first time. Went around 30 miles had no problems no speeding tickets. I had er a little to full of water and she spit a little when we first started to warm up after that no problem.

Hey, good for you bdotson. I bet you'll remember that ride for a long time. A lot of us here are looking forward to getting our rides back on the road again. Fun stuff.

What size tires are you running. I really like how yours look in the front. That is about perfect. They fit the line of the arc of the fender perfectly.

You mean because they are round just like the fender?

sry, but I thought it was funny.

I know just what you meant.

I didn't know the tires came in a 700x20, I bought the 6.50x20 Firestones for my 1931 AA and they look great too...

No problem buddy... Take your time. Since you have driven it did you have any tire fender rubbing on the front end with this combination when you made turns. They look great. I am just interested in wether they rub on the fenders when you make turns.

Thank you for sharing,

Tom

7.00x20 will rub the brake rods when making tight turns.

What part of tire rubs, Chris, the tread or the body?

I'd like to get mine to the point where I could have that problem!

The corner where the tread meets the body rubs.

I checked the size today and yes they are 7.00-20. There is not much room but I have had no problems as of yet.
