Near Yuma AZ there is a fellow with a truly great collection of old rusty smelly iorn, mostly t's and A's, but a few other makes mixed in. Along with old farm machinery, Maytag washing machines, and other stuff. rows of old Fords and a few others. Inside he has a good collection of restored cars too. It's been about 10 years since i've been down there, but if he's still open it's well worth the stop if anyone's in the area.
The thing I wanted to mention is an old "motor home" built on a 1931 AA chassis, I think it's the long wheel base, but what a great sample of an early camper! Somewere I have a bunch of pictures on an old floppy disk, I promise I'll try and dig it out. I made up a folder for a friend, who is and old Ford T freak, and titled it, "Rust Heaven" where old Fords and other neat stuff go to die, it aint hell, but it is near Yuma. He liked it
I would have trouble giving derictions , but if I can find that old disk i'll try and come up with a map. Bill James

Maybe it was this one,? ------ it was on E-bay last year but if I remember it was in Arkansas, it had a stove, bunk beds, and a good supply of old engine parts in a storage box to make long distance touring a breeze , it had been in California as the plate was still on the back, I should have saved more pictures of it.

Brian, do you think the body was built back in '30 like the chassis?

Also, i hadn't noticed the pop-top on the '37. That thing just really has it goin' on.
I'd be using it with pride. I'm sure it's the standout RV wherever it goes.

Not so sure i'd be eager to set off into the great unknown in that '30 though.

Back in the late 70s they was a documentary type show on TV that featured a guy with a ridiculous sounding laugh and his trip all around some backwoods areas in a AA ford with a camper, either on the flat bed or attached to the frame somehow........Anyone remember that ?
