Attention all AA’ers:

The 2011 MARC National Meet is in San Diego, CA June 27 to July 1. There is an effort to get as many AA’s to this meet as possible. So, put this meet on your calendar – bring your AA (a driver, for judging, or just an AA that is incomplete that can be put in the parking lot for folks to look at). If you don’t have an AA you can bring, then bring yourself. I am going to see about setting up a Ford Model AA Truck Club meeting during the meet.

Great News! Can't wait to see it on the list of events. I hope for a large turnout.

Hello All AA'ers from the Ford Model AA Truck Club,

The Ford Model AA Truck Club meeting at the MARC 2011 national meet in San Diego has been scheduled for 8:30 AM on Thursday, June 30, 2011.

The meeting will include both inside and parking lot activities. Reserved space has been requested for the parking lot activities of attending Model AA Trucks. It is planned to take photographs of AA's in attendance to put together photographs for a calender.

Club member Dan Gambill has volunteered to be in charge of the meeting. Anyone wanting to volunteer to help out please send me an email. I will not be attending. But, I am planning on putting together an overview of AA Wheel Carriers which can be presented during the indoor meeting if time permits.

I live about 10 miles from the site of the 2011 MARC Convention in San Diego. I will be there with my newly restored 1929 AA Express Delivery. I have a wagon box mounted on back. I originally purchased this truck in 1964 for $25 and later paid $10 for the wagon box. Being local I will be glad to help out with logistics, advise and anything I can.

How many AA's were there?

I wanted to go and had been planning on it. But the changed the ol woman's chemo schedule and I couldn't make it. Only a hour and a half from me too.

It was a good turnout with great input/discussion. Thanks to those who could attend.

There are plans for similar meetings.

The trucks looked excellent-2 of which competed and were Judged - I didn't catch the results.

I really enjoyed the discussion. Too bad we did not have more time due to going on the Grand Tour. Your enthusiasm is contagious.
I hope you were able to make it out to the Motor Transport Museum in Campo during your San Diego visit. They have a Model AA Bus,
a Model A Armored Car, and Model A powered drilling rig and log splitter as I recall.
