Over at the American Truck Historical Society forums there is a neat period picture of an AA truck with a dump/sander attachment.

Would be nice to check it out up close. Like the ATHS fellow said, interesting rear wheels. Friction drive spreader. Gotta love the simplicity.

These ol' rigs of ours sure humped it out during the dawn of the industrial age. That's what i dig about my truck. It was there, and worked hard like the fellow who drove it.

Still plenty capable too, if ya don't try comparing 'em to newer iron.
