Oh man, what is the red truck and trailer? I've never seen such a beautiful truck. Sounds like you had a good time.

the red truck was custom made for the Labatt's Beer company in 1936 by White Motor Campany . There were only 12 made for the canadian beer company ... All the cab and trailer is made of wood and aluminum .... A real cool truck . It took Labatt's 8 years to rebuild one .. this is the only one leftcaptain marty wrote:Oh man, what is the red truck and trailer? I've never seen such a beautiful truck. Harry,
Good pics! Do you have any info on the blue truck? To me the red rig looks very futuristic for 1936. If I had to guess, I would have said that it was early 50's. Thanks for posting them.

Hey Tom ... The Keg truck is a 1919 White ... I have to say they are both awesome trucks ... Both are kept in London Ontario ( where I live ) If you google "labatt's antique trucks" you will find several sites that have a discription of both trucks .... They could not find the original 1936 cab for the tractor and they used a 1944 white chassis ... They had to basically make everything by hand .. I used to ride my bicycle past one of the old trailers in a gravel pit just outside of London in the mid sixties ... they were using it for storage ... that is the same trailer that Labatt's restored .... cool huhTomH wrote:Harry,

I got to sit in the driver's seat back in 1985 when I was 10 years old. Apparently high socks were cool then.
