Run to town

I have been putting quite a few miles on in the last 2 months. Almost 1,000 miles this year. Ran to the scrap yard with a load of aluminum siding today. Picked up 22 railroad ties last weekend. Gotta love a truck that was made for work. Still can't quite get all of the arch out of the springs :)

rollingsculpture, I cannot take much of the credit for the restoration. My father did almost all of the work in the 70's/80's. I got her out of the barn last year before he died, and cleaned her up for him. I have now come down with the virus that most of us on here have-AA fever. So much to do, and never enough time or cash to finish-always seems like a work in progress.

On a side note, switched the rear and trans oil from 680W to Royal purple 85-140. Quieted it down quite a lot, and made moving her around the yard yesterday morning much nicer. Also, seems like it is not as much work to hold 40 mph with the RP in it.

That royal purple is synthetic , right? So did you have any leaks ? And can put that in the transmission as well? I was thinking about red line synthetic . BTW very nice looking AA . I love these old Fords.

I put it in the trans and rear. Have no leaks on the truck, other than the persistant rear main leak that I have to investigate this winter.
