This is what I am thinking about building an AA extended cab. I was thinking of using coupe doors which are 2" shorter than the tudor doors. Depends on how the pickup bed matches with the cab.I'm taking the front cowl of a '30-'31, doors from coupe or tudor, The back section from rear of rear door of a fordor sedan, reconstruct the lower back and the wheel well section. It may be awhile before I get started on this. I have all the sheet metal I need except the rear corners for the cab, which the radius will be different, so I will have to make the corners also. Below is a picture that I put together to get some idea of what it should look like!!! Shelby, Louisiana.

hi there Give me an e-mail address and I will send you a picture of a a 30's vintage wrecker that was built with a extended cab built using a coupe. The truck recently re-surfaced after being in storage (sitting behind a shed).

Somebody has done exactly this, he had it at the MARC meet in Williamsburg back in 2006 or so. Very nicely done.

I would think the back of a four door would be a much better candidate than a coupe to make this transformation. There would be alot less fabrication involved of the back panel.

This is the rear section of the fordor. I'll have to fibercate it from below the belt down!!!! Shelby, Louisiana.
