shes dependable!!

haven't been home or on this site in over half a year. also havent been around my trucks for just as long. back in April i had to gather up all the truck parts and move them to my moms where they would have to be stored outside. i had just gotten June, my 29 running and drivable. April, my 28, was completely in pieces down to just the frame. so to save a trip, i loaded all of April plus half a truck of spare parts on to the platform bed on June and hauled them both in one trip to my moms. I was worried that after working on June to get her going, that it would all be a waste if she sat outside in the Kansas weather for god knows how long! anyways, longer story short, i finally made it over to my moms last weekend, stopping to get a new battery and gallon of gas on the way. gave everything a quick look over with a huge smile on my face of course! got the new battery and gas in. waited a min, set everything, pulled the choke, pushed the starter, and surprisingly it started in only about 3 cranks! within a half a minute it was purring smoother than it ever has!! it has always had a lil miss but not this time!
i know its not much news but i was just impressed at how it had sat that long, outside, in a field, with no hood, and it still started just as fast as any new car. i know for a fact that if my daily driver sat for more than a month, it wouldn't start that fast and then it would complain for a bit after-wards. I think its funny, pathetic, sad, and impressive how these trucks seem to be more dependable than any other vehicle i have ever owned!!

the worst part is that in a couple of the pictures you can see the lawn mower gas tank above the passenger side seat and the fuel line draped across the running board... not safe or convenient but effective till i can get a gas tank that will hold the liquid gold!

those 9' long logs of black walnut were left over from a tree i was paid to remove, and they were heavy!! each one made June squat quite a bit, not to mention my daily driver almost bottomed out! sold them to a private saw mill. 8)

Love these Pics, Inspired me to build a removable Winch with framing to mimic the Weaver from this Lumber rig I have. I'm gonna need some measurements though, I wonder who to ask?

The guy I bought this truck from used it as a Yarder to haul Old growth Redwood Logs out of the Forest In Mendocino and Humboldt Counties.
This reduction was after a 3 speed trans and a power take off! Broke the frame many times!
