Help full tip on removal of twisted off and stripped screw
, Had several screw that were twist off in the cowl,(sun visor each end and others) hate to drill out, no way to weld a nut onto it so I took a small washer, drove a center punch to make the washer have a counter sink look, not all need this, welded the washer to the broke off screw. I welded a scrap piece of metal to the washer, actually I welded the scrap metal to the washer so I could hold the washer in place to weld. Welded the washer to the broke off screw, then I used the scrap piece of metal to screw out the broke of screw. On bolts I welded on the washer, then I welded a nut to the washer. 100% success. I've tried welding on just a nut on bolts with about 50% success, have to weld a nut on several times to get out a broken bolt. The washer works!!! Shelby, Louisiana I would post pictures, no one seems interested so why waste my time ?
