engine casting number

my boss just bought a pieced together AA, sold as a 28. its a backyard build and the engine block number is RF 5000. no Star before or after. I have not ever seen that stamping---anybody--any clues or answers?

I bet the surface of the number boss is smooth too. Sounds like a restamp.
