My brother and I got our 29 AAs into the local Christmas parade this week, it was a pretty good time. His truck made is all the way, mine got to 3/4 of the run. I got to push and wave for about a quarter mile. That thing is heavy.
Lesson here: don't forget about the secondary transmission.
It came out of gear, all I had to do was step it back down, but I totally forgot it was there and assumed the clutch had decided to call it a night.
Second lesson here: drive my truck more (enough to remember it has a second transmision).
it was still a good time. We will do it again next year and would like to invite all of you guys to come join us with your trucks. The parade had about 15,000 spectatores along the route. The intent would be to use the parade as one event of the AA gathering, The town is Porterville CA, it's pretty close to the middle of the state.
