I Finally Decided ...

Post by Vicky »

Well, it looks like I’ll be selling my truck.

I hate to – I’ve had it since the late 70s, But it’s been 2 years or so since I’ve worked on it – I’m 71 and I just don’t have the energy anymore.

I did a frame off and put 5000 miles on it in the early 80s but then my job situation changed and it sat – under cover – for about 20 years. The last inspection sticker is 85.

I got tons of help from this Forum. My posts start on page 28 and 29. Thanks so much, Guys.

My ad is in the Buy and Sell.

Vicky, Glad to see you on the forum again. I often times wondered about you and your truck. I have not seen you post for some time. I still remember your posts and the dealings we had with each other. Fond memories for me. Sad to hear your selling the truck but can surely understand. My truck is 95% done as I always want to have something to do. I have had it out and about town several times and enjoy it tremendously. Best of everything to you and good luck selling THE TRUCK.

Wow! It looks terrific, Mike. Being on the Forum again is almost enough to inspire me to try to finish it but I just can't.

Thanks so much for all your help.

It's too bad you don't have a grandson or granddaughter that wouldn't love and need an inspiration to do well at the end of High school, I know back east, lots of kids think the old school stuff is way cooler than the rice rockets to drive back and forth to high school in, I know I would. Anybody can get a cheap used car but almost no one has an AA!

Wish you well, 71 is close to retirement age, isn't it?

I retired officially in 2002 at 62, thinking I would work on the truck. I did some but not enough and then I ran out of steam.

I hear ya, I'm out of steam every day, if it weren't for all the beautiful trucks these folks on here have, and their friendship, I wouldn't keep going...
