NO, Don't scrape it! There are plenty of people looking for a truck in that shape. The truck is a mid '30's or '31. The frame number is on the frame rail next to the battery. It is covered with the splash apron and cab. the cab will have to be raised to be able to see the #. It also should have an engine # on the engine block just behind the oil filler tube at the top ,below the head on a rectangler pad. This # may or may not be a matched # to the truck frame #. An indented fire wall where the gas line goes to the carb. would i d the truck as a late '31! Where are you located?

Rare truck in that: How often do you see a right hand spare tire mount in the 30-31 AA truck? I don't think that I have ever seen a right hand mount like this truck has, and I have seen a lot of trucks.

Good eye! I wonder why the door lacks the indentation that left side-mount tires require?

Doesn't look like a Ford factory mount, maybe after market.

Side mount spare tire carrier with attachment arm to cowl looks more like a BB style mount was adapted to this truck.

The truck is currently located in North Dakota. As to the price, I am open to offers. This was my father's truck. There does not appear to be a motor under the hood. I have not crawled under the truck to check if there is a transmission or not. I can take more pictures for anyone who is interested.
