Is this cab really a 28?

The "AA truck, supplement to Restorers model A manual" from 1985, I read it on someones post so I ordered it. It's pretty good, tough to see some pics but worth getting. I should've ordered the original A manual too.

It's funny -I have two of those Brantford cabs and neither has metal on the back of the cab and one looks weathered enough never to have had metal on the back. I know the pepsi truck has a metal back but who knows if it was original or not! Anybody have any original pics of a Brantford cab? I like being Canadian but do we always have to be different eh?? Does anybody know what kind of roof was used on the Brantford cabs. I have a '29 AAC with a Brantford cab and it looks like somebody homemade a tin roof for it. Did the Canadian trucks use a soft-top like the 28-29 US built trucks? Any of you guys in Canada know where I might find some parts for the cable brakes like the cable support that routes the cable behind the rear end?

I am also working on an AA with a Brantford cab. I have a rough cab with a good portion of the original roof in place. I will take some photos and post them as soon as I can. I may have the brake parts you need as well.

I have attached a few photos of the original roof and a few my roof rebuild project in progress. I was able to locate a small piece of the original fabric, from what I can tell the material is very similar to the original Ford top material. I don't think there was any padding between the wood structure and the material. The structure is either oak or maple and the wood strips are ash.
