Bob C:
Why do you say that? A few years ago, I had a Warford tranny for a 28/29 AA. It looked somewhat different than the one that is for sale here. But, I understand the Warford tranny for a 30/31 AA looks somewhat different than the one for 28's and 29's. How can one tell the differences?
Thanks in advance,
-- Drew

That Warford is for the TT if you plan on having a seat to sit in you would need a bucket seat

Re: 1930 Model a truck
TT transmissions had square shafts and this Warford would fit only the AA transmission and drive shaft. It does look different from the 28-29 style but this is because the 28-29 fit the three speed, not the four speed.

I can't post pictures until they fix the problem with this site but this Ebay auction shows the same TT
Warford that is in the 1930 chassis. http://www.ebay.com/itm/11909-27-FORD-M ... 7675.l2557

Re: 1930 Model a truck
Looks to be a August '30 unit. Sadly a bit too new for me. I need and early '30 frame that was used until June of 1930. I spoke with the owner and the engine and frame on this one were matching numbers.

Re: 1930 Model a truck
They sure look the same. I thought the AA had splined shafts/u-joints like the A, for that matter, I thought the truck had more (10 vs. 6).
The Warford for 30-31 AA is an over/under drive, right? Do I remember someone saying about 12% over-drive?

15 speeds if you want to count the 3 speeds in reverse!

Re: 1930 Model a truck
Reverse is not a bad thing. My AA was hauling 3 tons of crap to the dump and couldn't climb the hill in 1st gear. So it backed up the hill in reverse.ModelAkid wrote:15 speeds if you want to count the 3 speeds in reverse!
