I was looking at the cabs I am wondering if this is a 75 A chassis seat. This truck has no serial # on frame and no serial on engine. It came from a farm in Missouri about 30 yrs. ago Shelby, Louisiana.
Can anyone date this AA from the wheels maybe Thanks!

Re: 75 A chassis seat
No, the pictured AA is not a 75-A chassis seat. A description of the 75-A is found at http://aafords.com/cabs/75-a-chassis-seat/.
An AA can not be dated based on wheels. However, the wheels in the picture are the 1930 through early 1931 style.

It has car headlights and an aftermarket horn. You will have to remove the cowl and splash apron to find the number on the frame. Is there a number on the engine?

Re: 75 A chassis seat
It's a good clean frame to come off a farm. Where the serial # should be there are mark as where the press that formed the frame made indentures. I tried to bring out a serial # with acid, no success. On the engine the pad for the serial is high, Machined surface no grind marks either. Tried the acid to bring out #s, also no success. The truck had steel light buckets , They were rusted out to bad to worry about now. The frame was shortened up to even with the tires. The horn is an ole horn I put on also. On the battery cable at the starter end there is a 1930 stamped in the copper terminal. I don't know what that means (date or part #) First that I've ever seen Shelby, Louisiana.

Re: 75 A chassis seat
May be various parts assembled together. The radiator, hood & cowl are late '30 to '31 but the one splash apron shown is early 1930. Try checking the dates on the wheels. All AA wheels have manufacturing dates. If the dates are various then they are just an assemblage. If the dates are the same month/year they are likely original and would date the truck within a month or so.

Yes, I shortened the frame so I could leave the original rivets holding the cross member. The first picture shows the cross member and extension in place. Shelby, Louisiana.
