Few AA related questions

Post by ktkamm »

1. Picture shows what I found with what is the cross member closest to the rear. Should I be concerned the frame maybe out of whack/bent. If so, how does one determine that?

2. How many leaves on standard on the front spring? The current spring has 14.

3. Am I correct in assuming the AA did not have shocks. Don't see any on the front and if what I can remember is correct, none on the rear either.

Thanks in advance for any help/guijdance.

Ambulance's and herse's had rear shocks, (I'm still looking for some) as to the crack I'd say there's probably not much to worry about if it's that far back on the frame but I'd still try to straighten it and weld it up, somebody must have had something bolted up through that giant (extra) hole that was too much for it.
