I measured a new king pin and it was 1.004. Model A rear shackles are the same as AA front.
King pins show up fairly often on Ebay.

Longer spring perches for the 31 are not available as far as I know. On my 28 I have them and yes they are a tad longer than the cars. Will 28 spring perches work in a 31 AA front axle??? I don't have the answer to that. Maybe someone else will chime in.

Now if i can figure out best way to bore axle ends to 1.055? Thinking of drilling to 1.032 then use a expanable reamer?

I am installing modern brakes and the new spindle kingpins are 1.055 or .050 bigger than stock. I am looking for another 31 axle?
