Installing a 30-31 hood and radiator shell on a 28
Can some body tell me if it is possible to put a hood, radiator and shell from a 30-31 on a 28 AA truck?

You can put it on. But the hood will be inches away from meeting the body. I remember seeing a model A like that on the street when I was a kid.

How can that be, according to the dimensions of the hoods on Mac's, the 30-31 hood is longer than the 28-29

The radiator is going to be to tall with the 28 29 front crossmember.

Yes, you can put a 28/29 on a 30/31 but not the other way around. The 30/31 crossmember has lowered radiator mounting pads to make up for the height difference.flatford39 wrote: ↑April 22nd, 2018, 7:35 amThe radiator is going to be to tall with the 28 29 front crossmember.

I've always hated to see that, and you'll hate it when you are done.

That's a early 1930 truck. I like the shell, is it steel or fiberglass?

Why do you say early 30 truck? The door pillar changed in 30, I bought this as a 28

Ford used the 82-A cab (1928-29 style) until June 1930. You have the heavy front axle with the big brakes, dual wheels and
probably a bevel gear rear axle and 4-speed transmission.
