I am going to replace the side windows in my 31 AA as the passenger side is cracked and I don't believe it is safety glass. Researching windows they seem to be tinted green or gray, or bronze.
Anyone replaced their windows? Are the colors that pronounced? What color did you go with and are you happy with it? Being my truck is dark green and black I was thinking of getting green.
Should I replaced all of the glass or would doing the door glass be fine? Added pics for reference. I won't get the truck until next month.
Thanks

Re: Windows and window tint
The recommendation found in my investigation is that the non-windshield glass should be tempered glass (like modern day vehicles). I guess tinted glass would be more for a hot-rod type vehicle.

Re: Windows and window tint
Ok thanks. I'll look for clear glass. I wasnt sure. There is a glass company here in town. Has anyone had a window made or is it better to get new? I still dont have the truck yet to get dimensions. If bought new does anyone have any recommendations on ones they have bought and are happy with?

You can have them made locally if you have glass to use as a pattern. I ordered mine from Bert's and was pleased with the fit.

I've had glass cut locally with a template for them to go by. It was not expensive.

i contacted my local glass co. rough quote of $100. When i get the truck i will probably take both door windows out and have them make me new ones.

I think the window tinting would look cool, along with dingle-balls hanging from the front window, lowered front end and a plastic Jesus staring out the front windshield.............

I'll save my dingo balls for wonton since he's a big fan of them. Who knew!?
A light, smoke level tint looks great in trucks. Just don't go too dark.
Save and send your dingo balls to wonton!
