So whos headed to IOLA in 2 weeks?

Post by Stakebed »

Ill be there browsing around looking for model A/AA parts and trying to find 98+ ford ranger brush guard and running boards for another project haha.

I plan to head up north of there to check out a few cabins on lakes around the Hazelhurst, WI area before hand. Anyone got any suggestions?

Did you make to Iola? if so how was it? I would have liked to have gone but circumstances got in the way, perhaps next year. I did find a new cab however

ooh nice cab. Yea I made it. had a good time catching up with Model A people. Didnt find a whole lotta parts. Alot less model a cabs and bodies this year (and other similar era cars/projects).

Vendor wise there were a few less than last year. Weather was absolutely perfect. Thursday was 75ish with a nice cool breeze all day - low humidity. Friday was about 80 something but still low humidity and light breeze. Never been better weather up there!

weekend long gate pass was $28 this year.... i feel thats driving away alot of the people buying....

I can't think of too many better ways to spend the day roaming a good swap meet. I believe this cab is an unaltered original (except for the roof), check out this gas tank, I wonder if the writing is from the factory.(maybe a repair?) lots of anti squeak/"friction" tape and even rubber washer behind the dash.
