The good news is,,,, you don't have to take much apart !!!
You made me laugh out loud on that one.

Looks like you got a "basket case" that could have very good bones. Having no rust on the cab would be a definite plus. Pictures don't show any rust but the areas that are usually rusted are not shown in the pictures. Those spots are the bottoms of the door and cowl panels.

Yes sir. Good way to look at it for a restorer. Can examine all the parts better and save time on taking it apart. Would be nice to sell whole as I don't like to part out a nice condition complete AA, but doubt folks pay much torn apart like it is. Probably keep the factory replacement ( no serial numbers stamped) engine as back up for mine should it ever go bad. Will start listing parts as soon as get photos.

Not too far from you. My brother is in Darlington IN, just outside of Crawfordsville. He's down at the shop most every day as he is liquidating a lot of old cars, trucks, parts (Some A and T) . Selling out and heading west to AZ. Has a lot of parts, wheels, hubcaps, etc. that he has accumulated. Some WWII military vehicles. Saw a few complete Ford flathead's last time I was there.

I could be wrong but the deck body shown looks like one from an earlier truck (Ford Scrypt)

I see the Ford Script and it is different than mine. I have a '28 and it says " Ford Truck" on the rear. Also different steak pockets. So, not a '28???

FYI - azguy39's platform has Ford on the rear which would make it about 1934 or later. The first AA platform had Ford Truck on the rear (a TT platform carryover feature). The Ford Truck was eliminated in mid 1928 when the number of external pockets was changed from three to four.

More information at https://aafords.com/open-bodies/platform-bodies/

BTW - I put my steaks on the grill rather than in a pocket.
