Steak bed Rear Window See Through Grille ?
I saw this metal grille piece that sections in to the steak bed wood that blocks the rear window. Does anyone knows who carries this for sale? Not sure what the piece is called. Looked through Snyders, Macs, and CW Moss sites but did not find. I am putting a rear view mirror in since my steakbed will be empty most of the time, and would like to get thie piece, otherwise I will fabricate something to work such as some C channel steel across along the length of the top and bottom of the board that should provide rigid support on piece cut out. Would rather find the grille in the picture though, if it is still available.
Also, I have the standard 5 inch mirror on the left windshield pillar and would like to add the same matching mirror on the right side, however there is not the hols with the welded in nut to mount one. Has anyone done this without having to drill in, weld a nut in, then repair and repaint the pillar. I know drilling has to be done, but wondering metal thick enough for some good thick screws to hold it firmly in place.
Thanks,
Brian

Well, before I buy from Snyders, are you saying you bought one by accident and not going to use it? Want to sell it?Farrell In Vancouver wrote: ↑September 18th, 2019, 1:49 pmI actually have one, mis-bought for my AA (31).

I’m going to add a right side mirror using threaded nutserts, I believe that will work!azguy39 wrote: ↑September 18th, 2019, 11:54 amI saw this metal grille piece that sections in to the steak bed wood that blocks the rear window. Re: Steak bed Rear Window See Through Grille ?
Brian, That part is the stake rack view panel use for the 188-A stake racks. It is made by a club member Anders Jansson in Sweden and I also sell it for $70 + shipping to your zip. More information at https://sell.aafords.com/aa-parts-for-sale/#aa188272. I know Snyder's panel is supplied by Anders also. To install, it takes eight short carriage bolts. the nuts are countersunk into the boards since there is almost no space between the cab back and the stake boards.

Re: Steak bed Rear Window See Through Grille ?
Yes sir. Out of state for job assignment in Texas right now. Been meaning to get over to Prescott Antique Auto Club when in town. Belonged to the club a few years back, but since I do much work on the road, never made it to event or meeting, so dropped out. Still got to solve electrical problem on truck of no lights working. May have to find good electrical shop before able to drive it.
