Re: Wanted: Early '28 AA wheel lug nuts
Thanks, Kim. I've been looking for 2 years and have found no reproductions and only 4 originals. These were only used on AA trucks through mid '28, so not a lot out there. I'd give a good price to anyone that can round some up!

Consideration - These wheel nuts can be reproduced. An AA friend had a machinist friend make him a set. I saw the results and they looked very original. This was many years ago and I think the cost was about $20 each.
In Feb. 1929, Ford recalled (free to owners) prior AA's to replace the spindles with new AA spindles. This recall, eliminated the wheel nuts you are searching for.

Thanks Neil. Maybe where I need to be looking is in the scrap pile behind some old Ford dealership buildings!
Following up on Neil's comment, if there are any machinists out there that might be willing to undertake such a project, please let me know : )

Re: Wanted: Early '28 AA wheel lug nuts
FYI - All AA wheel nuts were right-hand threads until mid February 1929. If someone has left-hand threaded wheel nuts, then they are not what is being looked for. Check out https://aafords.com/aa-chassis/aa-1000-wheels/#wn. The A-21911 d1 (1-3/8" tall) wheel nuts are what is being looked for.KimVanOrder wrote: ↑January 17th, 2020, 4:45 pmDid you find your lug nuts? I have 6 Left hand thread and 2 or 3 right hand thread. Hi Kim and thanks for offering those lugnuts, however they are not the early '28 style as shown in the photo I posted at the top of this thread.
