Happy New Year!

Post by blgitn »

It was pretty nice this afternoon and I've been making some good progress on the big truck so I took it out for a little stretch.

I need 3 hinges for the drivers side rear door, if anyone has a few lying around.

Man you have made a lot of progress. Is there a thread with pictures of the build?

It started life as a 285-A Deluxe Police Patrol in Denver.

The back half is 33-34. That's a really big hole behind the tin. There was nothing there when I found the sides, but my guess is the hole was for a heater like you see on the AA Ambulances.

It's calm and straight at 40 mph and the brakes are pretty good, empty. It has cast iron drums. I have the seat set up for a 6' 4" 230lb driver so there's enough room for me.

I've started chronology that I'll put up here in a couple days. I still need 3 hinges for the driver's side rear cargo door, in case anybody has extras.

What do the rear door hinges look like? I sold some 79-b front doors and parts At Bert's in Denver a few years ago, They would be a likely source for. parts.

Hi guys,

It looks like I'm going to have to sell the big truck.

It's been a 4 year project; it runs and drives fine, new wiring, all the lights work, BUNCHES of new parts, clear Virginia title.

Anybody interested at $6500.oo before I put it on the market? I have a 48 slide PowerPoint I can send you if you send me your email address.

Well, the winning bidder "cancelled" his bid. He claims he did it before the auction ended, but he was still high bidder....... I can't get any help from ebay, they're 'understaffed' due to the virus. If any of you bid, and still have an interest, shoot me an offer.
