Power Take Off
Other than for dump hoist, does anyone utilize a power take off on their AA?

Mine is connected via a driveshaft to a winch on the front of my truck.

Jeff, I love it! Don’t let the battery die though.

Re: Power Take Off
Although my fire truck has a Barton pump driven off the front of the crankshaft, some fire trucks that have a midship mounted pump used a power-take-off.

Re: Power Take Off
The ‘31 AA at the fire company near me has a separate unit behind the transmission to power the pump. I know the old Willys Jeeps were often used in creative ways with a PTO. I knew a fellow who powered a cane mill with one. I imagined the AA had the potential to be used similarly.

Re: Power Take Off
Jeff, is that a 3 speed and dual drive in your truck or a 4 and a Warford?

Re: Power Take Off
Its a 4 speed with Warford - some additional info is on the thread " Truck Progress Photos" which incidentally is long overdue for an update! Sorry, not sure how to put a link in here.
