Set of 1929 Bud rims with hubcaps

Post by s147881 »

I have a set of really nice unrestored 1929 bud six hole disc rims. Hubcaps are really nice but need replating. For rims with hubcaps $500.

Are the wheels still available? Any guess what it might cost to ship to Calif?
Thanks Charlie

Yes - still available. Not sure on shipping. I could put on pallet and deliver to fed express terminal.

I believe that it may still be possible to send them individually through the U.S. mail. Wrap a piece of duct tape around the wheel the same as the flap would mount and write the addresses on the tape. If the rings won't stay in place put a two or three small spot welds to hold them in place. They can be ground off on the receiving end.
Take one to your local post office and let them take a look.

Several years ago I bought some and that is how they were shipped to me.

Hi:
can you tell me how many wheels are in this deal, can't tell if there are 7 or 8 in the picture and the same on the hub caps.
Thanks Charlie

I have two complete sets of 4. Eight total. Driving from Michigan to glacier Montana next month - you along that route by chance?

Unfortunately I am in No. Calif. I am assuming the price is for all 8 wheels and hub caps? The only way I can see shipping is putting them on a pallet and sending as a LTL shipment iron/steel rate. Let me know what you can do. I am still interested if the shipping works out.
Thanks Charlie

I would probably be interested in all 8 for your price of $500.00 depending on the shipping. The only reasonable way to ship these is on a pallet by a LTL ,(less than truck load ), carrier.
Shipping may wreck the deal. Let me know if interested. These would be for a future project AA truck.
Thanks,
Charlie

I think I will pass. These are the nicest rims I have found. No pitting and super smooth surface.
